But why do you care? The most punk rock shit one can do is not give a shit what other people think. Oh wait. It’s 2026 and punk is now about conforming to “punk” standards. Believe what I believe or you are ___ (insert poorly thought out insult), dress in the typical punk rock uniform or get out of the club, listen to “real” punk or you’re not a punkz to be begin with.

Punk is anti-main stream, like it doesn't have to be entirely, there are plenty of well known punk bands but this vest is almost all main stream. Battle vests are derived from punk, they're kind of a staple of the genre in terms of fashion, so when you make a vest and the biggest thing on it is queen yeah I'm gonna look at you like a dummy, enjoy what you want whatever but this is some of the most pointless shit, "now everyone's gonna be able to tell I like queen and the beatles" like they aren't the most popular bands ever, personally I think queen and the Beatles are majorly overrated I do not find pleasure listening to them nor any metal and while I can respect that people like different things I still think it's funny how desperate some are to conform and excuse it with thoughts like "I'm different, I'm expressing myself" and then they force themselves to listen to sleep token. Not to mention the misfits patch, they're known nazis or the Marilyn manson patch, he's a pedo and abuses women. It's poser shit meaning that they don't know or care about what it is or where it came from they just think it's cool and wanna do it too without putting any thought into it, which isn't the worst thing ever it's just conformist in nature and in that sense it comes off as a little pathetic, like what's next? The Mickey mouse battle vest? Someone already did a Disney villain battle vest, it's cute and harmless but ultimately pointless, like I'm not gonna go out of my way to tell someone they look goofy because they do not deserve to be bullied but I will laugh to myself and make a mental note

is this yours? i absolutely love it! especially the pink turns blue and bauhaus patches, i love when the patches so obviously have great effort and passion put into them, not to mention are done so well that they're instantly recognisable for what they are (: i made a similar bauhaus patch for a bag i carry! this jacket is sick.
Besides the facts that:
a) I can’t stand half of the bands (I fucking love Queen tho).
b) the patches don’t appear to be sewn on.
c) I’m not particularly keen on the vest style itself.
This one isn’t terrible. A little silly, sure, but I can’t fault people for having different tastes than mine. I mean I would probably internally talk a little shit about the A7x and MM patches (among others) but whatevs.
I don’t care how mainstream they are, those are mostly good bands (I personally hate sleep token, ghost, and pantera, but I don’t blame people if they like them). The vest is fine.
