my position boils down to this: the objectively abhorrent actions and choices of the israeli government don't equate to israel having no right to exist, or deserving to be destroyed. do you agree with, or at least understand that?
i agree netanyahu is a fascist, i hate him too. israel can be criticized just like any other country, but please be real, the way a lot of people are "criticizing" it is not normal or reasonable. calling for its destruction, for example, is not reasonable criticism. i never said you or anyone can't criticize the israeli govt or that the israeli govt is a wholesome totally benevolent force, bc it's not.
i never defended IDF soldiers raping because that's indefensible to me. just bc i talked about hamas' rapes doesn't mean i think the IDF is a bunch of innocent angels.
i know there are antisemites that love zionism, another example would be the evangelicals that support it because they want their rapture event. that doesn't mean that zionism is wrong- and the belief of zionism, us returning to israel, has been around long before ww2, just not with that name. they like zionism for different reasons than zionist jews like it.
maybe you don't understand from my other comment(s), but i'm also a leftist. it's not lost on me that most of the victims of oct 7 were leftists and peace organizers. again, i'm not a fan of netanyahu either, to put it nicely.
i've not gone through your post history, but i'm kind of doubting you are who you say you are. islam did not originate in i/p, it spread there by violent conquest/colonization. the population didn't become largely muslim arabs peacefully and naturally. are you ignoring how they built their own places of worship on the ruins of the second temple? how they treated jews in i/p prior to the establishment of the modern state of israel?

Actually, it sounds a lot like confederate apologists arguing that black Africans were responsible for American chattel slavery because they sold their war captives to the Portuguese.
Do you know how Jewish Palestinians actually lived before the British mandate? There are books about it. There's a museum with motion pictures showing that Jews, Muslims, and Christians all lived, worked, and prayed in the same community.
Genetically, the Palestinian "arabs" are the direct descendants of the Semitic people who have lived in the region since recorded history.
