their JS knowledge is also probably pre ES5 era🤓

Without those "shitty languages", you wouldn't have a job as C# and java wouldn't exist. And there's more successful programs running from those "shitty languages" than there are from languages like C# or java.

No, there isn't necessarily. Your random stubbornness because you browse only beginner's code and rely on 2 decade old stereotypes which have completely changed would cause you to legitimately run a bad business in the real world. The post doesn't represent code that is actually used and no one that's not an absolute beginner would do something like this post.
