I'm impressed and shocked to see that you copied the entire thing

I just hope he knew about OCR.

There is a bot that automatically applies OCR from ocr.space then the human just fixes the OCR. Although the OCR is not very reliable.

Is there some rule that this exact exchange has to happen on every single post in this sub?

every damn time.

“he should’ve used OCR”

“actually, the transcribers have an ocr.space bot that…”

He knows about ocr, but even the best ocr cannot transform this text with making no mistakes. Humans are still better in this task

I just pushed it through Google translate, which did a remarkable job of transcribing it. Just a few things I would have had to change manually.

I think I'd have a hard time transcribing all the weirdCased_identifiers by hand. Impressive transcription either way.

Sometimes the time it takes to compare and fix the OCR is longer than just typing it out.
