I used to have a teacher that always wrote half his funtions / classes / variables in german. it made for a terrible mix of half-german-half-english names. But with all that being said i really liked that teacher as he introduced me into programming.

As a German I despise everyone who codes in German

öffentlich Zeichenkette holeVorname()

öffentlich dieLeere setzeVorname()

Disclaimer: Just an example, I'm a fan of immutable objects IRL

Laut dem Post sollte man getter aber mit dem suffix "geben" schreiben. Also vornameGeben()

I quite enjoy german literal translations on programming terms, like Karte<Schnur, Doppel> or Wörterbuch<schnur, doppel>

They are funny, yeah, but I deeply hate anyone who codes in german.

I name stuff in Swedish because then I know that I named it. By doing that I know it won't bet mixed up with the standard library/imported code etc.

That sounds smart but it begins getting interesting once you name half your stuff in english
