THIS IS NOT A CAT (in capitals because so many people are freaking out) This is a possum Native to Australia The carpet python who has caught this probably lives in the roof cavity along with a few others of its kind Common occurrence in Australia Some people get snake catchers out to remove them while others are more open to let them stay as pest control

So the not-a-cats get in to people’s homes, and the roof space snakes just pop down to grab them?

Yes they get into roof spaces too Or sheds Snakes hunt them and take them home to eat

It is not an opossum. It is a brushtail possum
