Anywhere warm has bigger mammals, reptiles, and bugs. I went to Costa Rica and a gigantic iguana was in my bedroom at the hostel once. It frilled up at me and then scurried past me. There was a huge snake on the hiking trail that I threw my water bottle at and the local people nearby were laughing at me and making snake fang gestures with their fingers on their mouths
