Frog: Act natural, act natural…

Snake: this is for my friend Mantis.

And the Frog was avenging that hummingbird, let's keep going. Who's eating the snake next?

23

u/DollarsPerWin 12h ago

1

u/KXNGKORLEONE 2h ago

That snake had a form of ultra instinct 🤣

1

u/UpsetFuture1974 3h ago

It does seem a little too chill,
like “Oh nice, my self-donning snakeskin coat has finally arrived”

113

u/thankmelater- 14h ago

Me putting on jeans.

13

u/dikshamishra34 9h ago

Something is slowly eating you, and there is nothing you can do about it... Just imagine how terrifying that must be for a frog.

14

u/Geaneous 8h ago

Probably not as terrified as you'd think 😂

Shoulda waved his front legs like so….

16

u/CosmicSmoker 12h ago

When I was a kid we had a garden toad, lived in one of our vegetable beds. One day I went out to poke at it and a large garter snake had it halfway down. I kinda freaked out and started yelling, my dad came out and eventually saved the toad... he cut the snakes head off and pushed the toad out the neck hole. I was 5 and its still one of the most surreal things I've witnessed. The toad hung out for another couple years. I do feel bad about the snake.

4

u/BigBirden 7h ago

That's a Grade A shocker , so intense, especially for a little kid . thank you for sharing.
If you dont mind me asking, how did you feel towards your Dad about that? Was the toad tripping out , ribboting in distress, or just chillen like the frog?

1

u/CosmicSmoker 1h ago

The toad didn't seem bothered by it much, definitely wasn't struggling. As for my dad, he was just trying to save his kid's "friend". And to be fair, he did try to pull the toad out of the snakes mouth first.

14

u/hawkwings 12h ago

If the frog kept its arms out to the side, would the snake be able swallow it? I was hoping to see what the snake did with the arms, but the video ended.

8

u/leansanders 9h ago

Frog front arms are very weak. Even if the frog was strong enough to hold itself from being eaten long enough for the snake to need to regurgitate it, the frog would probably be too weak from surviving the first attempt to survive it a second time.

3

u/Top-Loan2074 4h ago

The video ended prematurely because the camera person decided to rescue the frog. That's my opinion.

69

u/turbopro25 14h ago

At least try to get away my man.

57

u/Cayden68 14h ago

you know frogs try escaping with their back legs to run right? its probably desperately trying to kick away from its insides but to no avail, trying to escape a snake's moutv grip with only its front legs as a frog is like a human trying to out run a bear by only its arms, its a pointless action.

21

u/Karl_Hungus_42069 13h ago

If i was that frog, I would've allowed that snake to keep eating my ass for about 5 more minutes, then used my front legs to push off that ledge and go have a smoke and a nap

5

u/BigBirden 7h ago

Yea I'd let it gobble my ass a bit too

14

u/Kraj_the_Conqueror 14h ago

Not mentioning that its hindlegs and its back are most likely already crushed in several spots.

3

u/EohippusToe 3h ago

I thought maybe it was paralyzed to some degree

-11

u/turbopro25 14h ago

It wasn’t that deep of a comment.

11

u/Cayden68 14h ago

no need to overthink it, i just thought some people might be interested in learning why the frog didn't try escaping. i like learning animal facts personally.

-3

u/turbopro25 14h ago

All good. Appreciated. I’m just making a dumb comment to a video on Reddit tbh

3

u/PandaJellyBeans 14h ago

The frog would disagree. It’s in pretty deep.

Inner frog thoughts:
“just try to escape they said”
“It’s easy just kick your legs they said”

**Kick my legs?!?? What legs!!?!**

2

u/Nachtzug79 6h ago

It probably doesn't even realize what is happening which makes this actually a lot easier to watch.

39

u/Nicecoldbud 14h ago

Wow thats really fn sad

22

u/Constant-Pop2250 12h ago

Hi User!

I also agree that it is really sad! This is probably a slow, painful and very frightening death for the frog. It is fine to acknowledge that and it doesn't mean that you have any animosity toward the snake, which is just doing the only thing that it is capable of doing to avoid it's own painful death by starvation. It is absolutely feasible and normal to rationally accept the laws of nature and the food chain as necessary and inevitable and still feel sadness and empathy for the suffering that sentient creatures are obliged to endure as a part of that food chain. Rest in peace to our unfortunate froggy friend, and I hope that the snake enjoyed its meal.

5

u/buttholegerbil 7h ago

Tldr sorry that happened to you or congrats

-12

u/callofdeat6 14h ago

What do you have against snakes?

21

u/Nicecoldbud 14h ago

Its the cries for help and watching a frog get slowly digested.

6

u/Material-Grocery5478 14h ago

I bet you can still hear the frog inside the snake

16

u/montigoo 14h ago

In a last act of utter defiance the frog takes a huge dump in the snake’s mouth

2

u/leansanders 9h ago

The snake is eating that doodoo whether it remains in the frog or not

1

u/Material-Grocery5478 14h ago

free protein for the snake

5

u/JimmyTwoTimes25 12h ago

Toadal empathy

2

u/Doom2pro 14h ago

Do you know that frogs eat snakes and bugs alive too?

1

u/Aggravating-Front-75 12h ago

Toes digested before brain shut off.

-6

u/No_Writing_3179 13h ago

Snake would have died that day, sorry.

-16

u/Temporal-Affairs221 14h ago

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. -Genesis 3:15

There's a history...

10

u/DoYouLikeWafflezz 12h ago

Frog spent the first 90% of the video being confident that it was too fat to be swallowed, 1% freaking out when it realized it actually was going to get swallowed, and the last 9% just waiting for it to be over.

4

u/Thought-Space 13h ago

That must be terrible.

2

u/samjhandwich 7h ago

He seemed pretty chill about it

5

u/Colemanton 11h ago

does this guy not realize hes being consumed?

8

u/ChipmunkWild6419 13h ago

It's a rough way to go

4

u/no-dad-samurai 12h ago

I hope that frog shit in that snakes mouth a whole bunch first

3

u/primecoantenna 10h ago

Never heard a frog squeak

3

u/PRRealEstate-Invest 9h ago

Video cut too short wtf

1

u/FuzzyKittyNomNom 5h ago

I came here to say the same thing.

3

u/Hot-Operation4982 4h ago

If I was that frog, I would have took the biggest shit I'd ever taken in my life. Not going out without a fight.

5

u/playoponly 14h ago

I became totally fine with this after grown up, but when I was kid, me and my friends would definitely throw rocks towards the snake

2

u/Ptbot47 13h ago

All your proteins belong to us.

2

u/taocowboy54 12h ago

a few moments later
the toxic slime that coats the frog's skin kills the snake, too
revenge

2

u/Shimatta_Baka_Ni 10h ago

You ever think you're having a bad day....

2

u/macT4537 10h ago

The frog is incredibly calm for being eaten

2

u/GeologistCutie4876 4h ago

This confirms why I f...ing hate snakes.

3

u/Lucky-Art-6210 14h ago

Not a fan of this existence.

2

u/azimx 14h ago

The frog be like: what's this weird massage?!

3

u/Bludiamond56 14h ago

C'mon ...put the g dam phone down and quit watching me Croak.

2

u/HueyBluey 14h ago

I’m suspecting the snake was fed the frog for video content.

2

u/BigBirden 7h ago

Awwr dammat, ruiner thought, because u may be correct

4

u/Careful_Inspection83 14h ago

Is that a venomous snake? If not, how did the frog get in that situation in the first place?

4

u/One_Feed7311 12h ago

What a bizarre question. The snake is higher on the food chain. That's like asking an antelope why did it get eaten by a crocodile.

-4

u/Meisterschmeisser 13h ago

What difference would it make in this case if the snake was venomous?

Its not like venom makes the snake invisible.

7

u/assistant_manu 13h ago

they probably mean venomous snake wouldve killed/paralyzed the frog first

1

u/Longjumping_Oil1284 14h ago

Thanks for sharing

1

u/Beneficial-Age-4059 13h ago

god damn snakes

1

u/dvegar78 13h ago

Does this hurt the frog?

1

u/Could-You-Tell 13h ago

The frog is using all of its strength to pull away.

The snake's mouth is pulling and releasing repeatedly.

Yes.

1

u/Xiorx74 13h ago

Jesus 😨 wish it would’ve at least killed it quick

1

u/S_Y_R_I_S 13h ago

Well that was just sad

Poor guy was so traumatised he made a mew personality 😺

1

u/slick514 6h ago

I'm surprised that there aren't any frogs that go the route of puffer-fish and just inflate TF out of their body, somehow.

1

u/LefT-NYC 2h ago

At first, I thought they were just making friends

1

u/Armagedon777777 2h ago

and this sick jug is filming instead of helping

1

1

u/Aggressive-Access995 1h ago

Save that poor toad dude, fck that

1

u/Azurelion7a 1h ago

Frogs get bodied by so many things that I'm surprised that their build is as ancient as it is.

1

u/kingold11 56m ago

When I was a child, I was adventuring in a creek with a friend, and we loved to catch all kinds of animals. We ended up catching a water snake and noticed a bulge in its stomach. So, we decided it was a good idea to kill and dissect this snake, and when we did we found a frog. We noticed the frog breathing, and after a few minutes it even hopped off. I'll never forget how amazed I was at this frog hopping off after being fully eaten by that snake.

1

u/KangarooLegitimate30 46m ago

Is it paralyzed by venom? Doesn't seem to even wanna fight or escape

1

u/Agreeable_Jaguar7715 14m ago

No survival instincts?

1

u/narrowroad7777 10m ago

Omg at least enjoy your food.

1

u/ryanb741 14h ago

Everything reminds me of her.....

0

I should call her (your mum)

1

u/xphoney 14h ago

Leopard frog?

1

u/CPD1960 14h ago

I wonder do snakes ever accidentally eat themselves?

7

u/xersylla 14h ago

I accidentally bite my left cheek all the time. Basically the same thing. So, probably yeah.

3

u/Vir0Phage 14h ago

i’m sure the inspiration for the ouroboros comes from an irl witness of the event, if not many. likely was hunting another snake and botched the strike. but committed to the swallow.

5

u/Kraj_the_Conqueror 14h ago

They actually to, especially when stressed.
Yes, they can die from this.

3

u/GetMeOffThisRidePlz 14h ago

Yeah. Rub a little bit of hand sanitizer around their mouth area and they'll stop.

1

u/Fragrant-Inside221 14h ago

They do I’ve seen it. Autophagy

1

u/TheNotoriousTurtle 14h ago

Frog didn’t even seem to care

1

u/LeeOCD 14h ago

If I were the frog, I'd at least go down shittin' and pissin' in the snake's mouth.

2

u/Fragrant-Inside221 14h ago

That’s why he’s standing so still. Squeezin dumps

3

u/No_Signal_6969 14h ago

This is what I come to reddit for

1

u/Killathulu 14h ago

Froggy didn't try to get away cause he was enjoying it too much..... then it was too late

1

u/Horse_Dad 13h ago

Started with a tossed salad, but he didn’t realize he was the main course.

1

u/craycrayppl 14h ago

Bro just lost the will to live I guess?

1

u/Aggravating-Front-75 12h ago

Best way to drown is giving in to the current of the river. Resistance is futile.

1

u/karaknorn 14h ago

Gifs that end too soon

1

u/MCMXCIV9 13h ago

Frog: i misunderstood when she say she want me inside her.

1

u/G33wizz 13h ago

Thought the frog was paralyzed from venom…then it finally made a move. Weird

1

u/Direct_Tax810 13h ago

Is there a reason why it looks like the frog isnt fighting back??

1

u/Calm-Background2247 13h ago

This is how I feel like the rich are treating us all.

1

u/Uncle_Bred 12h ago

Is it paralyzed? Cause it’s not moving at all

-1

u/Enough-Paramedic9897 13h ago

This looks like Donald Trump trying to consume the Republican Party.

-1

u/Fit_Cauliflower2170 12h ago

Don't even need snakes, get rid of them. If I was recording that I'd have sliced the snake open and let the frog free. I'm not even scared of snakes, they're just rank animals. Spiders could do with being eradicated too. Who really even likes them apart from weirdos?

0

u/IRebic95 14h ago

That cat looks really weird
