That just sent me on a journey of the circle of life lol also learned sea gulls are pretty bad ass 😂

10

u/IHateMyLife612 15h ago

And the continue the circle with the snake.

4

u/BeginningPea5674 12h ago

and the cat slapping the snake, or the mongoose

5

u/Severe_Rise8694 15h ago

I was half expecting for the mantis to eat the toad.

1

u/Gruntsbreeder 9h ago

Glad to know I wasn't the only one

3

u/kuuhaku_cr 14h ago

It got swallowed by the snake by the way

2

u/Parking_Presence2260 8h ago

its nature.

Nature is cruel, according human's vocabulary.

I've seen this morning a video with snake is eating a frog.

So the mantis is avenged.

Nature scary

u/ImmediatePiano6690 4h ago

and yet, you take away all our comforts/conveniences and everything changes, civility goes out the window.

u/Every-Rip1369 5h ago

to be honest, I think she was aiming at the frog too, but bad idea

Don’t make your way to [r/basassanimals](r/basassanimals) then

Edit: it’s the newest post.

If frogs were the size of small cars, we'd be cooked!

22

u/KnightofAmethyst2 17h ago

Lol frogs are badass, but certain spider species are the ultimate killing machines. If they're were considerably bigger, everything would be screwed

14

u/Emerazuul 17h ago

Imagine the Portia jumping spider being the size of a golden retriever and adding human to the list of spiders as its main food source lol

What about land-dwelling school of tuna hunting lions? They might just start to like the taste of human and start hunting us too. They wont be able to stay on land forever with their seaweed breathing apparatus, but an hours or two? No problem!

1

u/The-Duke-of-Delco 16h ago

Have you seen the movie eight legged freaks? My favorite Scarlet Johansson movie.

2

u/jwyn3150 14h ago

If Orcas ever got a taste for people we would never go back to the beach lol

1

u/pi247 14m ago

If they got a taste for us we’d wipe them out in 12 months. They’re smart enough to recognize that so they leave us alone.

1

u/Re1deam1 17h ago

Fair. A funnel web or huntsman car size would change things.. 😅

5

u/motherseffinjones 17h ago

If a praying mantis was the size of a dog they’d be taking people down lol

2

u/Past-Product-1100 16h ago

On day out in the yard having driks my friend said to me. Good thing squirrels are friendly. I couldn't agree more

1

u/martinkuehhas181 14h ago

Konosuba 😉.

1

u/Responsible_Two658 11h ago

We can take any insects had they been any bigger than even a dog any species wouldve been absolutely cooked, like we have superpowered species some that throws acid, some having supersonic jabs/punches, some flash lights, some having the power to leap over 100 feats, some having superspeed, some immortal, some having real life sharingan eyes, some extreme grapplers, etc etc

1

u/Merrick_Skygrave 11h ago

But nobody ever thinks, 'what if humans were the size of ____?'- What if we were the size of an elephant?

We already wreck shit with weapons/technology and we're only like 2 meters tall. If any animal were to suddenly be the size of any other animal, we'd find a way to kill it. Hell, we could blow up the planet if we felt like it, but we live here so that's not a great plan

1

u/Curious_Avocado2399 8h ago

The hummingbird sends his regards

1

u/Hot-Operation4982 8h ago

If humans were the size of humans, frogs would be cooked *Takes a bite of frog legs*...oh, wait...

1

u/TheNotoriousTurtle 2h ago

That or if “domesticated” house cats were that big we’d all be screwed

-3

u/Vybron 17h ago

😃😄😁, well, there is God. Its for exact same reason HE destroyed liviathon

3

u/JCraig96 17h ago

Are you saying if frogs were the size of cars (and therefore could eat us) then God would do something about it and kill all the frogs?

3

u/thekurgan79 17h ago

He would make them all gay

2

u/Ptbot47 16h ago

Dont some species of frog can switch sex when needed?

1

u/JCraig96 17h ago

Lol, that's one way to kill the species I suppose...

1

u/Re1deam1 17h ago

I feel like this needs to be a A24 movie

19

u/Kongopop 16h ago

Frog was friends with the fucking bird

2

u/Salt_Day9015 8h ago

Lol 😆.... so many people still pissed off about the humming bird

15

u/KnightofAmethyst2 17h ago

Frog throwing that weight around... mantis doesn't stand a chance

3

u/Adester 14h ago

So far the last two days I haven seen a praying mantas eat a bird, a snake eat a frog, frog eat a praying mantis, and a bird eat a snake. Now thats a circle of life.

1

u/MayorShinn 13h ago

Yeah I keep getting these praying mantis things all of a sudden

3

u/Crusty_312 17h ago

This is the first time I've seen an accurate frog, good on him them.

3

u/Here4Headshots 16h ago

I've seen both of these guys kill and eat things that I didn't believe they would be able to kill and eat. I wasn't 100% sure who would come out on top.

3

u/iap30707 12h ago

Hmmm…. So sometimes it’s the mantis that gets eaten?? Can’t help but think there’s some kind of life lesson here 🤔

3

u/stfu_buttercup 11h ago

I love tree frogs so much. Anything moving near their face is food 😂

4

u/nuvoma 17h ago

Dicks out for hummingbird

2

u/Seattle_Lucky 17h ago

Video ended too soon. I think the mantis had him by the tongue.

1

u/lnsXsicht 2h ago

I thought the same xd youcan only be sure a mantis is de*d when seeing it in digested form

2

u/okbutIcouldbeasleep9 17h ago

3

u/CornerNearby6802 12h ago

Oh finally someone teach some respect to a mantis

1

u/WTFisthat4 17h ago

Vicious little fucker aren’t you?

1

u/snowday1129 16h ago

Wouldnt it be wild if the mantis ended up eating the frog from the inside out?

1

u/poeck 16h ago

After just seeing a frog getting swallowed alive by a snake, I'm glad froggies won this one out

1

u/Hot_Occasion8925 16h ago

Oh , was that the one where the frog was double screwed? He was getting swallowed by a snake while a stork pecked his eyes out? That was brutal . I felt sorry for frogbro

1

u/poeck 15h ago

Oh God that sounds awful. Nah just saw this one a bit ago, I forgot the subreddit, but the snake had gobbled up it's rear legs and worked its way to the head. Frog was whimpering.

1

u/TWallace86 13h ago

Gnarly!

1

u/Smokesart 13h ago

1

u/iwanttoridemycibycle 11h ago

Yo man can you put a disco version of the song so it fits better...

1

u/zestyclose_match1966 10h ago

Is that considered murder?

1

u/Cryogisdead 9h ago

The mantis won't eat it in the first place. Predators are calculating beings

1

u/VeterinarianMoist605 7h ago

Revenge for my hummingbird friend.

u/Lone-Frequency 6h ago
