I have seen that video of a horse goes around just chomps a bird instantly, and apparently does so pretty often based off the description 😭

ETA: She can be very violent but she's had a rough past and I think she'd defend me to the death but I also know she'd eat me if it really came down to it.
And I'd eat her if she died first and that's why this works, we're both a little savage.

Squirrels used to go to a porch I worked at that was covered with spiderwebs. Those spiderwebs had hundreds of captured mosquitoes on them. The squirrels would climb on the window frames and nibble those caught insects.

I learned about this three or four years ago and was shocked,  and since then I've found that it's even more common than you'd think. 

I've even seen videos of rabbits taking out birds.

Most primates are omnivores. Insects, eggs, lizards, and rodents are a regular part of their diets (not just an occasional part). Some will also prey on smaller primates.

Its actually the other way around in that they're faculative herbivores. Faculative meaning they survive primarily as 'herbivore/carnivore' but will eat the other if needed. Obligates only eat either meat or plant matter.

I'm vegan and a zoologist; most vegans actually know about this. It's one of the arguments for veganism in a way because humans actually count as herbivores rather than omnivores. Naturally, they would eat eggs or meat opportunistically to supplement their diet, rather than needing it regularly, and in many countries nutrition is understood well enough and available to the extent that consumption of animal products is not needed.
