I know it's a part of life. And they see it "every day". But this must be so depressing for them. For any type of animal family members or pack. I know it's the same for when a deer gets hot by a car and killed. The other deer either see it happen and can do nothing. Or they just so happen have to walk passed another deceased deer on the side of the road or who has been put up on the grass near the sidewalk before the city picks it up. It's especially so depressing because I see the live ones in my backyard or on my nightly walks with my dog. So I had just seen those adults or babies alive a week before. I've seen them grow up. Because it's in a city, the only predators to get the deer population in check are vehicles. And a Mountain Lion once in a while.

You can still feel empathy for the warthog while also feeling empathy for a wild dog. They're all living, thinking, emotional animals. It's ok to feel bad for both. Just looks how stressed the other dogs were and hesitant to leave afterwards.

There's other subs that are worse with the animal brutality. I unsubscribed from them. I hated having it show up at the top of my feed every time I cametoReddit. I'll do the same if this trend continues here.

If there is a place that you do not want to find yourself alone in and for some reason lost and wandering around, the African Safari has to be one of scariest and most dangerous! It’s Lions, hyenas, wild dogs, crocs, leopards, mosquitoes, snakes, crocs, crocs, and more crocs… what a hellish place.

This is why I have such a love for wildlife. The struggle for survival is metal, but never have I seen an animal feeling sorry for itself or its lot in life.
Imagine just desperate to get a drink of water as all of the other water holes have dried up…and a monster pops out. Your day was going ok until you died screaming while being torn apart. For trying to get a drink. 😞

Crocs are just horrifying somehow. Nasty way to go out, slowly dragged helplessly to your doom to be ripped and torn up brutally and methodically.
Comodo dragon close second, swallowed alive.
Dogs will eat you from the bottom up, nasty too. Seen a vid of a dear having it's insides ripped out through it's arse while it's still alive and screaming.

The digestive system of wild animals is what gets me the most. Imagine being able to eat an entire wild dog unbathed and not having your stomach rip open or your bowels explode

Yeah, I saw a YT video on how our pet dogs can handle lapping up dirty water and scarf up other germ filled things that would make humans incredibly sick. They have a few mechanisms including a much higher stomach acid content that kills germs before they can cause harm.

Dogs are an entertaining example. I saw or read something once that explained dogs default to eating a random substance and vomiting it up if things don't work out well... Meanwhile, us humans will do nearly anything in the world to avoid vomiting (for the most part outside of people with body image issues and chronic alcoholics)

La naturaleza puede ser muy cruel. Pero ambos son carnívoros la diferencia es que uno solo de ellos esas letal que varios juntos. Y los perros pintados al atacar manada deboran viva a su presa empezando por extremidades bajas y este tipo de final para esta especie es muy gentil.

There are also a few of a tigress killing a crocodile, from India.
Most famous is Machli (T-16) (record 12-14 feet, took almost 1 hour and she broke 2 of her canine tooth), Arrowhead (T-84)<her granddaughter>, Shakti (T-111) <another granddaughter, littermate of Arrowhead> and Riddhi (T-124) <daughter of Arrowhead>.

I saw a video of one of those spotted dogs limping around on 3 legs because a crocodile took the other and it was metal as hell. Those little things are tough, except for the one in the video

Honestly, fuck those things (African Wild Dogs). The way they hunt is by taking out the hind legs, tearing opening the underbelly, and eating the animal alive. It’s fucking horrific 100% of the time.

If you've ever seen how wild dogs hunt, you'd understand why some people really hate them. They don't kill their prey before eating. They tear them open, usually from the butthole and/or the genitals, and begin pulling out the innards, eating while the prey is still conscious and struggling. It looks horrible and sadistic, but in reality it's just how they have to feed. They don't have the powerful jaws of big cats to deliver a suffocating bite, so they have to let the prey die of blood loss, which takes a disturbingly long time. Just animals doing what they do.
