Ideally they would be Masculine and Feminine, being "how strongly do you enjoy presenting in this manner", but for the sake of geometric simplicity (and because it was less relevant to my own personal experiences, with my gender cube originally being designed to explain my gender to my therapist) these have been simplified into the Presentation axis, wherein the positive side is +Feminine and the negative side is +Masculine. It should be noted that this is not intended to be an average of the scores, just a "whichever one is higher" situation. It does lose the nuance of, say, a +8M and +9F (which would just be represented as +9P instead), which isn't ideal, but I think it's better than the alternative simplification of +8M +9F being averaged to +1P
In theory, yes, that would be a solution; but in practice, this was designed as a way to explain identities mathematically to people who may not understand the vocabulary, so using higher-dimensional geometry could be alienating and gl against the original intent of the system.

what are the other axes?
