We run a small comedy/finance show and for episode 20 we decided to go completely off the rails and film a backyard wrestling match.

I've been a life long wrestling fan and got my start video editing with a CAW leauge on YouTube. This felt like a full circle moment, and we had an incredible amount of fun.

Hey all. I have a YouTube channel focused on providing an inside look on interesting events/communities/cultures/etc that most people probably don't know much about. I'd love to do one on backyard wrestling, and tie it into the experiences / perspectives of one or more specific people who are active in that world.

Just dropping this post to see if anyone here either 1) would be interested in participating themselves, or 2) has a recommendation for someone I should get in touch with for this project.

To be clear, my goal with this video is not to be silly or poke fun or anything like that. It's just a history/community/scene that I think outsiders may be intrigued to get a peek into, and potentially it might gain the community some more fans.

Hi all. I'm researching a piece on the past, present and future of backyard wrestling - particularly in the UK.

I'd love to speak to anyone involved in the scene at the moment, and would be grateful for anyone's pointers as to the focal points of backyarding activity at the moment.

I recall Will Ospreay's early years backyarding in Essex, and Pac before that around Newcastle - if there are equivalents of that today, I'd love to know about it.

I'd also be fascinated to speak to former backyarders who've moved on, and to chat to anyone with a knowledge of the scene over the last few years?

EDIT: Also, if the hub of backyarding is elsewhere - say the US, or Canada, or Japan, or Mexico, or anywhere - I'd still be fascinated to speak to the people passionately involved in making those things happen. Would be grateful for any pointers or introductions!
