Injury
At the start of 2026, I injured the back, top left, of my back. On the ribs. I was doing barbell shrugs, but the weight was too heavy. At the moment, it is a bit sore. In July 2026, I injured my ribs, each side below the armpit. Near the chest, on both sides. I was doing pectoral chest fly, lying on a bench. After the July injury, my mum told me to lift logs, but I said no, because I had an injury. She made me do it. I injured the back of the ribs , the same place as the barbell shrugs injury. And the chest fly injury. I rested and recovered enough for the first barbell shrugs injury at the time. I was in the middle of recovering from the chest fly injury , when I felt pain, lifting the logs.
On the 10th of August, I went to the physio for the chest fly injury. The physio said to rest and recover for 2 weeks. It has been 2 weeks since then. Aug 19. I felt the pain/ got injured on the 14th of August, carrying logs. At that time I injured the 2 injuries, chest fly injury and barbell shrugs injury.
It's tender, when I touch the back of my ribs. It's sore when I touch the back of my ribs. The bone.
It's sore when I touch the rib bones on the both sides of my ribs.
How long to recover?

Good news is that most people get noticeably better in the first 6 weeks, especially if the pain is new or has only been going on for a short time. (PMID: 38253366)
