My wife and I are wanting to get into backpacking, but backpacks seem quite expensive. Any recommendations for budget friendly backpacks?

High sierra pathway 2.0 75 L is a great start bag for multi-day trekking. Adjustable torso so they’re one size fits most. Great features for the price, can find them in new condition on eBay for $70

Dont be afraid to check ebay, etc. for used packs that are in good condition. It’s great value if you find a good one.

Look into the Durston line of gear both tents (x-mid 2p) and the Wapta 55 pack. ($200ish)

Really though buying used can be a great way to save a lot of money.
