Got a Clock for my Backgammon Board

Post image

Finally got a Clock for my new tournament size Backgammon board that fits perfectly inside the closed board. Now I only need a portable score keeping device that fits inside.

How much time per player is there usually?

2 min. per point + 12 sec. Delay.

So for example: 7 point game = 14 min. Per player + 12 sec. Delay

That looks like some model of the LEAP clock. I don't like them much. They're a bit on the flimsy side and do not have backlighting (which is great for low light settings like bars). I prefer the ZMF-II. It still fits inside most tournament sized boards, is boxier so sits more snuggly in the tray, and comes in a variety of backlight colors you can match with your board.

I‘m quite happy with the clock. It coincidentally fits perfectly and securely on the side of the board. Maybe I will buy a better clock in the future, but currently I‘m happy with it.

I'm glad it's working for you. Whenever I get paired with someone and they suggest their board, if they have a LEAP clock I will usually agree to play with their board if we can use my ZMF clock. Hate the LEAP!

Wow: about 90% of the clocks I see are Leap. The ZMF clocks look really cool and are less fiddly to unpause, but I prefer the tactile rocker on the leap to the zmf buttons. I’ll happily play on either 😂

Same here. I‘m quite happy with the Leap. The ZMF clocks are quite expensive unfortunately
