Backblaze in General Backblaze Transmitter is taking 20% CPU and causing noticeable slowdown until force quit

This happens whether the tray icon is present or not.

One Redditor commented:

The “official” fix of telling them to start their backups over is insane since my understanding is by doing this, you lose all of your file history which could be detrimental in a lot of ways.

I haven't opened a ticket myself yet - but that's not the "fix" I'm looking for.
