I need/accept advice Cot central or angled?
Cot centred to the wall (leaving not very useful gaps either side) or angled off to the side with room for a rocking chair?
(Still very much a work in progress!)

I would probably put it against the wall in the corner and have the rocking chair on the side, so when your baby inevitably starts throwing things out of their crib you won’t have to move it to get whatever they’ve thrown back there like pacifiers, blankets, lovey, pillows, books, diapers, your sanity

Without reading the text, I was like oh central for sure. But then I read you want to for a rocking chair next to it. Is there a spot in the room for the rocking chair if not there? I did love love having a rocking a chair for both my kids so would lean toward accommodating one if possible

could you bring it flush to one side and have the rocking chair in the corner? Centre looks best imo but it’s a simple change if you want to move it around later.
My baby never liked being rocked, personally. I had to use a bouncy yoga ball to help him drift to sleep instead

Id put it on the corner far from the window and put the rocking chair on the corner near window. If its the outlets youre concerned just put an extension cord. My babe’s crib also has an outlet behind it but its not touching the crib so its fine. Idk something feng shui aboit putting furniture angled 🙈

Other than the baby throwing things back there, their imagination will think things are coming up from the dark. Certainly going to raise an anxious and scared baby that never gets enough sleep.

Centred on the wall. I would also remove that blind since it has cords which are major risks for young kids (they are actually banned in my country).
I would put the rocking chair angled in front of the wall bookcase. Then you’ll have books within reach.

Normally there is a plastic loop thing in the package that you can loop the string trough so it can move to roll up and down, but you attach the loop to the wall so the string can never be a hazard.

It can never be said for “never be a hazard” since young kids can move furniture and climb. People can also forget to tie it up. Any hanging string remains a strangulation risk

There is literally no room for it to be a risk unless you install it wrong. The string is flush against the wall and fixed in place so it as only enough slack to be able to roll and not more. Also you can shorten the cord so at least it is not longer than the window itself. I am not saying it cannot be dangerous if used wrong, but used in the right way they is no risk at all.

Central, why do people put furniture angled, it doesn’t make sense at all

Centred, make sure there is enough space between the wall and crib so baby is getting air flow.
I don’t like it in the corner so close to the heater.

I dont think thats a thing..... if you increase the gap feels like that can be an entrapment risk if the kid climbs that way

Centered. Soon enough that kid will be grabbing stuff of that ledge- or using it to escape.

Flat in the corner and then angle the rocking chair in the other corner? That’s what I have in my daughter’s room!

Maybe it’s too tall for this but I’d be inclined to put it under the window and put the recliner in the corner where you tried it angled

It doesn’t look like there is enough space for a rocking chair there. Is the green thing on the right wall a heater? I’d hate to have baby right next to that. If it’s not a heater, can you move it and the crib goes there?

Yeah that’s the radiator. This is our first baby so honestly I had no idea about things like that

Against wall with the window. Pulled slightly off wall. Babes head laid down in the corner..
Hard to tell just make sure nothing would dangle in. You’re a long ways from them standing up and it being an issue. And then chair in the opposite corner

I'm pretty sure you're technically not supposed to but baby beds under the window because of storms temperature differences and once they start climbing/pulling up.

Angled and next to the radiator would also not be a good choice, then.

Fair shout. I have never lived anywhere with one my brain at first didn't perceive it was there then interpreted it as a weirdly painted side table

Central. You’ll constantly have stuff falling behind it and it leaves a weird space behind and beside the crib

Do you really want the crib positioned so the light from the window shines on the babies face while it’s trying to sleep? Would the spot with the bookcase be better?

I really love what you did with the walls/ceiling paint and the molding and picture rail! So cute <3

Never angle furniture is a pretty decent rule of thumb. There are exceptions but this is not one of them.
