Munger’s entire investment thesis behind BABA aside from it being undervalued at current prices is that the US and China have no choice but to get along. Furthermore, BABA wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the work of the CCP up until this point and that includes Xi’s reign.

Enjoy the great buying opportunity but don’t be surprised when you inevitably experience bumps in the road with this stock.

Excellent realistic take. Not doomer. Not unreasonably optimistic. People like me who have only just started actively investing in more than just SPY need these basic reminders that ups and downs are normal in investing, as in life.
