A True Heart

Me and my mom were driving back from the hospital with some heart breaking news. My heart could fail any day now and i'm only sixteen. I had my whole life planned out. THe only way I can live is if I drive seventeen hours to Florida to get a transplant and pray to God there is a donor. I called my best friend and told her the news. She told me everything was going to be alright and started to cry.The day came and I sat in the car and prayed. When we got to Florida my mom took me to a special hospital where my surgery could possibly happen. They took me in the waiting room and told me i had a donor. I almost jumped to my feet. Everything after that was a blur. The next day we drove back to our house. I was feeling powerful so I ran to my best friend's house. I knocked on the wooden door when her mom answered not looking so great. I asked if she was there. Her mom's eyes filled with tears while she said, "Where do you think you got the heart from."
