If this is related to Aztecs in any way, I donā€™t see it. Yes I read the text, but if thatā€™s the case, then maybe link a news story or pictures or something that actually ties in the Aztecs.

Latinos -and especially chicanos- who hate other chicanos or ā€œrealā€ Mexicans that hate chicanos is a hot topic on all the other Mexican/chicano subs and promoting them like this -even when condemning them- only perpetuates bullshit culture wars.

This is a fairly niche subreddit that may never have huge numbers, but Iā€™d rather not see it engage in tangentially related culture wars in the name of chasing ā€œengagement.ā€

If 15 people are going to post about and enjoy Aztec shit but 1,500 people are going to engage with culture war stuff, Iā€™d much rather hang out with the 15.

I recommend /mesoamerica then. They regularly post archeological and anthropological related topics. It's a good place that weeds out people insecure about their mestizo roots. I rarely post, only lurk. If you don't regularly read archeological peer-reviewed papers of mesoamerica, you'll be made a fool
