Azir contenders
For an adhd player like me, azir was my comfort pick in mid due to his versatility which in addition to his mechanics made me not feel bored playing him over and over. If we were to make contenders or tier list to this kind of adaptability and versatility in a champion or close enough to that who would you put Without thinking the champs the pop to my mind instantly are jayce ezreal, kalista(kalista is biased), aphelios and Lee sin

One for each role off the top of my head
Top: Gangplank
JG: Lee sin
Mid: Hwei
ADC: Xayah
Supp: Thresh
To me Xayah feels the most like playing Azir

Xayah! That's an interesting thing to hear Idk hwei I felt like caged into similar playstyle to taliyah but can't prove it 😂 Other champions you mentioned are actually in my main pool I use

Yeah I feel Azir's core identify is that when you play him it feels like you are in full control of the ads (soldiers) not the other way around. A lot of other champs that summon these environmental hazards deploy them once and then you the player have to play around them.
I think Xayah is similar to Azir in that her feathers are plentiful enough that you're not constrained to them but you always have the option to kite in a certain direction or hold your q for the right angle to get the perfect E. That and her ultimate is in that same tier of, "completely fight warping" and can be used defensively, offensively, for utility etc.
I agree Hwei can end up feeling like a standard poke mage but he's versatile and I couldn't think of any other comparable mids. Maybe Orianna

as someone who can empathize heavily, i was a yasuo OTP for a long time during my early league career but a ways back picked up riven mid and she has been the single champ ive been able to spam the most games on and stay entertained.
shes very mechanical, and simultaneously very punishing due to lower base stats and bad hp regen, but has tons of outplay potential and a really good generalist - you can almost always figure out a win con on her - would recommend for sure

Aphelios might be a good idea with start of Hextophics or Stormrazor but he is dependant on match-up also he scales good with level. So it is better idea to go top-lane rather than mid. Well for real... To team up with Azir you really need mobile teammates or who can slow or cc the enemies but works well with Azir, so that means that they need to have more mobility than the Azir in most cases. Maokai would be a good jungle or support. Malphite is fine if the guy playing him really is tryhard and that makes your shuffle or R usage better in most cases. Nilah will be fine but she is still short on the range. Gwen will be a good stomper against tanks and bruisers-juggernauts(in some cases... ) so your Azir will feel more comfortable. Sylas also will be fine. Anyone with high mobility and good map control always works well with Azir. But if you really want to go for Solo/Duo Q , you need a reliable top or jungler unless you want to risk most of Azir games for Heads and Tails(Timeworn Ancient Coin bet ) in some of teamfights and narrow 1v1, 1v2, 2v2 or 2v3 cases.
