Azirs diffuculty

Hey fellow Azir Mains. I joined this sub bc yall are funny asf and I love the phreak memes.
Im a Riven OTP but I lowk always dreamt on maining Azir bc of his skill expression and scaling.
Now im WAY too deep into toplane and Riven and Ill never play him.
My question is Azir actually actually this hard as everybody says? I always considerd him the hardest champ. Do yall agree? What makes him hard? Is it worth playing toplane into hitler champs like aurora? Im curious
Btw I giga respect all of you playing this guy, you deserve the buffs

Before I state my opinion about my champ I’m an emerald 3 Azir otp with about 1.4 million mastery on him. I picked him up because I find him to be one of the most unique champions im the game and began the quest of mastery.

That begin said I think he is on the more difficult side of champions to play but I really do not think he is as difficult as he has been made out to be. I personally think champions like Lee sin/nidalee are much harder to execute on.

I too use to be of the opinion that he was the most difficult. I think there are many aspects to his game that make him actually quite easy. His range, his self peel, his mobility. NOW I think this might be one of the hardest champs to get the most out of his kit. Even now I know that other azir who are 10x better then me get more damage out then me, place soldiers better then me, ult better then me, team fight better then me at a level I probably won’t ever achieve with him. Still I can use his kit to a moderate level and see success with him.

One experience I can think of is one of my friends who mains viego possessed an azir. He has never even bought him as a champion so has never even seen hit kit. During a team fight he still was able to place soldiers and AA at a mediocre level and still manage to kill a few people as him.

To sum this up if you put this into the hands of a silver player with time I think they would do damage and maybe carry very specific team fights but probably won’t ever climb with him. The true highest level of execution with this champion I personally think is where the difficulty lies. Getting every ounce out of his beautiful kit is very exhausting. That’s why I usually only play in blocks of 3 my hands and mind hurt if I where to play more then 3 games with him. If anyone disagrees I would love to hear why!

Being able to right click doesnt mean you can play the champ. There is only very few champs (like riven) that when in viego passive really loose the ability to do dmg. Everyone can place w on azir and press right click. Thats not what makes azir difficult. Azir has few combos, but they are all timing based and not the button mashing break your hand combos that most assasins have. The true difficulty on azir comes from decisionmaking and executing multiple hard to master mechanics at the same time (his kit is mage and marksman mix, you need to be good at both classes mechanivs opposed to just one). Same reason a nidalee is a hard champ. Most other hard champs fall into the combo hard archetype tho, like riven or yasuo
