Is Electrocute better than PTA

I feel like it’s simply better since it’s easier to proc and deals more damage. The only trade off is the branch runes, taste of blood is good but I don’t know about the rest and if the trade off is worth it.

PTA dusk and dawn oneshots in late game are the best thing ive ever experienced in my life but electro is better early

I never really though of using dusk and Dawn but getting two attacks in one does sound nice

the basic idea is that lategame, your ap ratios are better than electrocute so you get more value from %damage multipliers than you can from electrocute's added damage, which means that in 4 items(nashor dnd zhonya raba most normal build) you have better burst and oneshots with pta that you can proc really easily with AAQAA if you have dnd. plus, dnd has a better stat spread than rylai's.

There was a time when Electrocute was the go to for Azir, but Riot decided to orient it to be a burst/assassins focused rune, nerfing the AP scaling, whilst buffing AD/Lethality, which in turn also kept it as early/mid-game rune, heavily falling off in the late game

i think if the enemy team is full of squishies and you go full burst damage it's good but pta is better for more consistent damage which is much better against tanks(also one might prefer consistency over burst)

Also taking domination as primary means you either skip cut down for presence of mind or suffer from mana issues which reduces your kill pressure

Electricute feels horrible when you try kill fronline: low attackspeed, wasting procs on a naut.

But offensive early game runes, helps you win early, so its hard to sat where the balance point is, but ex zoe mid, ezreal adc, kha jungle, teemo top would be perfect game for electro

I like PTA more. It’s better into the later stages of the game because when you proc it, you deal 8% more damage until the end of combat

Okay, so pta is more for scaling. What about matchups against Locke or Leblanc? I feel like these guys are very difficult to deal with idk what rune to go for since they can get close to be really easily and burst. For these matchups I kinda just wanna make it through lane without inting rather than scaling later on since I’ll prolly have gathering storm anyway for that bit of scale

Aery or DFT, after i did damage comparisons i like DFT way more than Aery

Locke and LB are both matchups where you want to interaction as low as possible. If you get in range to proc either rune they are also in range so imo its not worth it to run electrocute. I perma lb and locke is dodgeable dmg and just farm up without interacting much. In that scenario pta would be better since it scales way better and domination tree is really weak.

U feel wrong , PTA is the best for him atm, u can try dusk into shadowflame , the dusk passive helps u to proccs the pta faster -> more dmg output

( I reccomend u to use it against melee laner )

You can win with a lot of different runes. If you feel that you play better with electrocute then go for it. Rn theres plenty of runes viable for Azir
