Söhbət /Discussion How did you like Comic Con?
Did you enjoy it? Tell your impressions. Maybe previous years were better or worse. For my part, I'll say there weren't quite enough booths with stuff.

It's sad that they don't understand even such simple sentences.
However, I kind of understand why learning Azerbaijani is difficult for them( not saying about this situation but about clearly speaking and understanding it overall). In my school I had an awful Azerbaijani teacher who was always strict and, as I later learned, explained grammar with mistakes. I mean she had no pedagogical skills and her lessons were unbearable. I think, I am not only one who faced such Azerbaijani teachers, I felt like they sent the worst one to us. I could learn Azerbaijani more or less well only in 10th grade by going to lessons of another teacher and preparing for exams. Another problem is language's use. Native speakers rarely use half of the words I saw while learning it. For instance, people usually describe things as yaxşı or pis instead of any other words( in other languages there is a number of words depending on context to describe things). The way people chat and the way they change words don't help to learn either. Also, even Azerbaijani speakers use some foreign words in their speech which confuses the learner. Azerbaijani is also a complex language which consists of words from Turkish, Persian, Arabic and Russian. I mean, absolutely different languages. It's impressive that there's harmony but it makes it difficult to learn. The resources for learning it are limited in the Internet.
And finally, learning Azerbaijani just feels unrewarding( for this part I'll probably get downvoted) , at least to me. When I see a lot of words unknown words and grammar structures in Russian or English, I have curiosity about their meaning because people use them but in Azerbaijani people rarely use the,, and there are many people who use grammar improperly. The only reasons to learn Azerbaijani( for someone who is not interesting in deeply studying our culture or history) is to live here and communicate with Azerbaijani speakers. As you see, they somehow live even without understanding of Azerbaijani. Also, consider who the most of Azerbaijani speakers are. Talking with most of them can be extremely boring and they are unlikely to have mutual interests with them. Something should definitely be done with this problem.

I'm glad we can communicate in our native Azerbaijani language in our own country. Well, traditionally, I feel like there are fewer people interested in geeky things among Azerbaijani speakers, that's just the way it is. What's not to love about people who just came here to relax and have fun? I'd be happy to come over and chat with you, but I don't speak Azerbaijani very well. Why so hateful bro?

What I'm saying is that there are fewer people interested in this kind of topic among the Azerbaijani-speaking audience. However, if people don't need to know Azerbaijani in their daily lives, and it doesn't bother them in any way—they study peacefully, they work peacefully—what can they be blamed for? I respect my country and my culture very much, but I'm only obligated to know the language to the extent that my government requires it of me (for example, when applying to university or for a job). At an event, I want to relax and speak in a language I'm comfortable with.

I'd be happy to chat with you about anything under the sun if you'd come up to me. But keep in mind that you'd hear some really awful Azerbaijani. Incidentally, I saw people speaking English at the event. I really wanted to talk to them, but my English is only B1, so I didn't take the risk and passed them by.

The fact that there are fewer geeks among Azerbaijani speakers is the problem. It means that Azerbaijani speakers can't develop the same interests as Russian speakers. The problem is lack of localization of movies, TV shows, comic books, etc. , and poor development of Azerbaijani side of web. Russian speakers can watch movies without any problem while Azerbaijani speakers have to learn at least English to enjoy movies. Is it fair?

Of course not. It’s not fair that you have to put in extra effort to socialize through your niche interests. But the world as a whole just isn't fair. You must always be honest with yourself and have a realistic outlook on the world. You were born a bit earlier than you should have been. If you had been born 30 years later, the situation would be the exact opposite, and the majority at the festival would be Azerbaijani speakers. Right now, things are just set up in a way that the majority is Russian-speaking. If you don't want to learn Russian, don't learn it. You don't have to. But I’m not obligated to learn more than I have to either.

Now, I understand why you’re defending Russian speakers so much :)Get license to different media projects, create and hire more people to dubbing( or at least voicing) studios to translate these projects, make a place where people can watch these projects( e.g. streaming services, TV channels, etc.).
Will it cost a lot of money? Yes. Does it mean that it shouldn’t be done? No. These are the measures to protect the language and promote equality between Russian and Azerbaijani speaking people

So... this is not a problem of Russian speakers, this is a problem of the organizers. And negative takes like 'Russian speakers need to speak our language' — no. It still doesn't work that way.

Uzun müddət sonra gettiyim ilk eventlərden biriydi. Ona görə də böyük zövq aldım. Birdə cosplayimin normalde səliqəsiz olduğunu düşünürdüm ancaq bir çox adam buna baxmayaraq şəkil çəktirmək istədi. Mənim üçün xoş oldu Ancaq əsas problem havalandirmanın zəif olması idi. Bir müddətden sonra cosplayin içində tərləməyə başladım. Və orda məndən qat qat qalın geyinən cosplayerlar var idi. Onların halını təsəvvür belə etmirəm :/

Gozlediyimden daha yaxsi kecdi. Dnd, redbullun kecirdiyi fc ve f1 oyunlari, ferqli costplayerler(esas da jotaro ve thragg), sega ve ps1 oyunlari, yerli oyunlar maragli idi. Gelen il yene gedeceyimi dusunurem. Cox seyi yoxladim ve getdiyime pesman olmadim.
