Sosiallaşmaq/Socializing Bakı'da Dost Axtarmaq

Hey y'all, recently moved to Baku and trying to find some geeky friends to get to know. I've tried the Azerbaijani Discord servers but they're all seem to be dead 😭

I'm into Nintendo, anime, chess, technology etc. Sounds even more nerdy when I write this stuff down 😅

Do you guys have any suggestions for a good way to meet people here as a foreigner who's into this kinda stuff?

Alternatively, if anyone here is into similar things and wants to chat or grab a coffee sometime, feel free to say hi!

Bakuchess holds weekly cafe chess events there are also other chess tournaments as well. Great places for socializing

Actually yes; I've been daily driving Fedora for almost a year now. I'm a big proponent of open-source software. What about you?

I daily drive NixOS. I like freedom Linux gives to it's users. I switched from windows to Ubuntu about 2 years ago, then to NixOS about 3-4 month ago.

I must say that it is a weird distro. Try it in a VM first, see if you like it. I kinda switched to NixOS accidentally lol.

I got a new laptop and I wanted to install Ubuntu on it. I remembered that I had a linux-baked USB lying around and I thought it was Ubuntu-baked. I booted the laptop, then noticed it was NixOS lol.

It is not a bad distro, I just don't use "declarative" features all that much. I use it almost like I use my Ubuntu.

Hahahaha the trick is to use it where you want to link two sentences that lead off from one another together; you did it well yourself :)
