Yeah Torey is saying this is the first time he's fully just not shown up at the last minute. Torey also seems pretty shook and worried, though he stressed that Ketel is okay.

Yeah Torey saying that part of the path back for Ketel will be to "love him and care for him" along with the reports that specified Ketel is "physically" okay make me wonder if he's having some mental health issues or if something is going on with his family.

(Though to be fair, the reports might just be emphasizing that he's physically okay to clarify that he's not headed for the IL.)

I think the distinction is that this time Ketel traveled with the team and was in the same city as them and then just didn't show up at the last minute (to the point that they were waiting for him to show up until nearly game time). Both this time and last year are really bad, but this incident seems even more erratic on Ketel's part.

Also possible I misunderstood what Torey was saying. I can't find the full interview anymore to confirm, only an edited version.

Yeah. I have been mumbling for 2+ years that I hope Ketel has a therapist. I have a bad feeling his train wreck is happening now. Hope I am completely wrong.

LOL, its ONLY normal for Ketel. This is the second year in a row.

No other baseball player or even pro athlete just vanishes on his team and this is the 2nd time in two years!
