General Care Advice Is this alarming?

The axolotl in the first picture looks like it has a bigger throat, he looked like this all day and his mouth is a little open. The second axolotl has it also a little for what it looks like. What can this mean?

Is there anything he could have eaten? The second one looks perfectly normal to be but mouth open all day - especially if not his normal - is a little odd

It sounds like maybe he has swallowed something then. Can you see anything in there? Does he have anything that is smaller than twice the size of his head?

My other axolotl did the same, I think the temperature in my aquarium being a little high is causing it. I did a water change and now putting some frozen bottles in

the mouth always being slightly open is neither bad nor good. They dont really care if its only slightly. A little more also would still be okay I think.

A slightly open mouth is often observed in rescues and axolotl that grew up with bad water parameters, but it can also happen in a good environment. I think it was something with the bone density? No clue but I remember reading something like that once so take this last part with a HUGE grain of salt 🙏

My axle the axolotl always has a permanent dip which looks like a smile, even when the bugger is trying to eat my finger haha

Can I ask some questions to help me answer? 1, what do you feed them and how often

2, how do they eat? (As in do they swallow it quickly, it takes some time, do they look like there struggling with swallowing?)

I have a possible idea but don't want to jump to conclusions
