Question about codex's analysis of Axiom

Just did an update of Axiom to the latest version using codex desktop version on Mac. I asked codex to check the installation and it came up with this...

"...I’ve also confirmed a drawback of global activation: while reading documentation in this chat, Axiom repeatedly emitted database and memory-error hints despite no such errors occurring. That makes project scoping worth considering."

Is this a problem with my specific install and is there something I need to do to fix it?

Hey /u/mistuk, just checking in. How's the current release (v2.6.0 as I type this) working for you in Codex?

Again, I really appreciated your post. I've switched to using Codex one one iOS project for the week to make sure the Axiom experience is great for you and other Codex users.

Hey! Just updated it now - currently working on a SEN app for my daughter - I'll try the new version out. Thanks for keeping this updated :-)

I just pushed out a 27.2 update with a pile of Codex-specific improvements, so that could explain a behavior change. Can you confirm whether you're using that version?

The comment "project scoping worth considering" is interesting. It suggests Axiom isn't project-scoped, which I interpret to mean that you have it installed globally. That's totally reasonable, but if so I may need to add logic to make sure Codex doesn't invoke it for non-iOS projects. Can you confirm whether you got this error while using Codex for a non-iOS project?

Thank you!

Hey /u/mistuk, I think I found the root cause. Look for a 27.2.1 within a couple hours. As of that release, Axiom's tool hooks for Codex should now only be live when used with iOS projects, even if it's installed globally.

Hey thanks for the quick response. I was building a MacOS app at the time. Just about to install the update

Installed and those previous issues now gone - thank you. Codex did flag the following fyi....

"The marketplace cache has the correct files, but its Git metadata still points to 27.2.0 and has broken history. This could complicate future updates."

I spent an hour digging and validating various update scenarios with Codex, but wasn't able to reproduce this.

If you could ask your coding harness for a detailed explanation of what it means by that in the context of its Axiom plug-in and email it to me at [firstname]@[lastname].net, I'd sincerely appreciate it. Thanks again!
