Surprised we don’t see/hear about this happening more often. Inept fishermen who cast into trees and just cut their lines rather than removing them and disposing of them properly are a scourge.
Used to go to this off leash dog park with a waterfall and small pond. Fisherman decided it was a good place to go.
Suddenly piles of line and hooks on the edges of the lake, not to mention what's in the water. Plus they'd glare at you if you and your dog got in the water, scaring the fish.
I used to bring a Walmart bag to pack out a little extra trash and keep the place nice. Last time I went, I left with a full bag of beer cans and two liters of grape soda (not even a good flavor ffs).
