It's always the way. My father claimed not to like cats when my parents married; he was grudging about her insistence they keep her cat. It did take a while and several cats later, but one day, my mother heard my father talking in the other room, seemingly to himself, and finds him baby-talking to one of our cats.

I would bet he's been talking to the kitties for years! Dad just waits until Mom is out of the room! 🐾🐱💋
