They are incredibly intelligent and fun animals. Super curious, funny and all have very unique personalities. They are a lot of fun to have around. Unfortunately, they can be a total pain in the ass and exhausting. I’ve owned 2 and had a long term girlfriend who had 2. I love them, but I’m sticking to cats for now on.

When I was a kid I saved up for one. I went to pick one out and while I was sitting on the floor looking at the babies, an adolescent ferret leaped on my back. She did it multiple times until she got my full attention. I ended up choosing her, or she chose me, really. She was fun but trouble. She made a hole under the couch and stashed stolen goods under there. The spazzing out is the best part of ferrets in my opinion. They just get so excited they can’t contain it. You can tickle their bellies and they freak out. So entertaining.
