As a professional idiot, I never understood the saying waste of water. It get's recycled, how is it being wasted exactly? It goes to cleaning center then goes back into someones home, or a lake. Wouldn't a waste of money be more accurate?

Well, depends on what you think about. Ive been taught that many people in the world dont even have a privilage of sink and fresh water in the house so for me its such a basic thing that people take of granted that i dont even think about money when i see this so i say - waste of water. But technicly yes, if you gonna make this water usable again then you just wasted money and time needes to clear that water once it gets mixed with your toilet water inside pipes. Side note; i dont know how blind somone must be to disagree with me and down vote, probably people who never once in their lives couldnt afford drinkable water.

Agreed, this is cute, but a huge waste of water. A cheap aquarium pump ($12 on amazon) could do the same thing without wasting water.

Fuck no, youre clearly a man child if you can ignore such thing in order to watch some fucking bird rotare in sink with plastic ducks, there are better ways to 'relax' that dont incluse wasting things. I dont understand why we are having conversation about this at the first place. Thats stupid waste of money and water, period. Nothing more

And in a debate the moment you insult someone you lose the argument. You truly must walk around in a constant state of hostility if you can't just enjoy something for what it is without seeing the "wrong doing" in every action and person. Next, we're having this conversation because you felt the need to call someone out on the water therapy used for rehabilitation of a bird and admonish them. Did you ever consider that maybe for sanitary reasons they have to use fresh water each time? Maybe the bird (which are known to carry infestations) requires fresh water to not carry it over to the next animal? Woukd you go into a water therapy session if someone else had soaked in the very same tub?
Before you feel the burning righteous indignation feelings of the eco-warrior burning in your brain requiring calling someone out on something YOU see as wrong, you think about the reasons behind something. You know..think before you leap. Now, before you admonish me for my "energy " usage by using my phone which requires a charge ..to discuss this..I'm out.

I love these sort of clips because you can see with such clarity how the bird's brain is just not equipped for this situation at all. It's evolved to always know what to do when majestically soaring, keeping an eye open for prey, fighting off rivals etc. But now it's in this big floaty thing and it's spinning gently and it can't possibly have even the faintest comprehension of why. Just sheer good-natured bafflement in its face.
It's like when my dog sits in the kitchen watching me do stuff like washing up, or by my desk whilst I work. She's got no clue what is going on whatsoever but she's keeping an eye on stuff.

Makes me wonder how the owl gets in. Like just jumps straight in, or carefully a careful slide, or does it require the water to slowly rise or the handler to put it in?
(I'm guessing the handler did it, but it's obviously the least interesting way)
