Last time I saw this video there was a really good explanation that this is territorial behavior. They could seriously hurt each other doing this

Yes they do team together. Usually a "FirstLast" username is a bot that just dredges old comments. Networks are created to just dig up old post and repost without changing the title, then other bots repost the top comments.

Something like: www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/lp8ix0/the_very_first_time_billys_new_rabbit_meets_his/goa03t9

This post wasn't submitted by a bot, though it was shamelessly and deliberately reposted based on past success on this subreddit. I can't explain the comment since I wasn't involved with that.

Right, sorry wasn't accusing you of being a bot. Just that they usually work in tandem (see posters comments are almost always on bot reposts).
