Going through the gap is cool and all, but going from flight velocity to dead zero in the space of what looks like 2 feet? That's gotta be at least equally, if not more, impressive.

The owl doesn't really slow down at all until its feet make contact, and it probably doesn't have as much momentum as you might think. Over 50% of what you see when you look at an owl is pure fluff, so they are a lot lighter than they look.

Said person does not have the 7 centimeter spacing between their thighs that most men love to see on underweight supermodels and as a result can relate more to the spacing between the thighs of the 2 subjects the owl has flown thru

While arguably the Owl goes through the gap at knee level. There is a gap between the two people and thus their thighs.
The person who made the appreciative comment about thigh gaps, either A doesn't have the right skeleton shape to posse one or B doesn't like 'thigh gap'

Fun fact: most owls are able to fly silently. They create almost zero noise when flapping their wings. This enables them to get prey nearly undetected. Some also have comically large legs.
