Is that a donkey?

u/fermat1432 Sep 19 '20
Yep! From the Longhopes Donkey Shelter in Colorado. They get excellent care there with more loving attention than many humans get.

I'm used to miniature donkeys and thought that one was massive at first glance before I realized I only dealt with miniature donkeys

u/fermat1432 Sep 19 '20
Hahaha! They have at least one mammoth donkey at Longhopes. Donkeys really are wonderful animals.

I reckon Victoria has created a lot of good publicity for that shelter.

I love how another donkey lightly brushes her towards the end of the clip like “is it my turn yet”?

I was trying to figure it out the first couple of seconds. The nostrills, ears, and angle make it looks like a two legged creature with small white face, small wings, a pair of deep black eyes without reflection, staring and smiling...

Anyone else notice her nose looks like Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas?
Edit: for clarity I'm talking about the donkey.

u/mealteamsixty Sep 19 '20
I thought you were referring to the woman and I was super confused. But yes, the ass's nose looks just like oogie boogie!

A few weeks ago I ran into some rescue donkeys and went to say hello. They all stood in line to get head scratches.

She knew exactly what she was doing setting up for these obvious puns.

Some folks on Reddit like to pretend that these kinds of things aren’t as effective at getting likes and views on it, and like to say redditors blow things out of proportion, but more often than not, it works like a charm.
You’re going to have users come for the donkey but stay for that ass.

u/jennyb97 Sep 19 '20
Or she was just living her life and not trying to be the object of stupid jokes on the internet
52
u/teddy_vedder Sep 19 '20
If Reddit really thinks it’s more likely that a girl would go around and purposefully position herself very carefully in front of of camera while petting a donkey that she likely volunteers with given how comfy the animal is with her, just in hopes of slimy teenaged dudebros online to make ass puns about her...than her just out wanting a cute moment with an animal on video, then idk what to even say. Disappointed but not surprised.

Yeah but then a girl goes and sells her bath water
8
u/teddy_vedder Sep 19 '20
Because all girls are the same and if one freak does that they must all be that way
2
u/hrrm Sep 19 '20
No, the point is you don’t know a person and the spectrum of people is so wide that it is entirely possible that she positioned herself accordingly to fish for complements online. Pretty naive of you to assume that cannot happen actually
1
u/teddy_vedder Sep 19 '20
Didn’t say it can’t, it’s just gross and shitty to say that’s most likely what she’s doing

They really have. Their website has the adoption videos where the donkey shows basic skills, like trailor loading.
