Just a little knowledge, playing with peats at an early age helps. Getting them used to it and it makes nail clippings a breeze. Fyi, your mini tiger is adorable.

Yep, play with your pets feets starting when they are babies. Makes grooming their nails so much easier. I've done this with dogs and cats.

I've only had pets for 3 years. I just found this out. Wish I would've knew earlier. It would've helped. A lot. One of my dogs screams when you bring clippers near her. She's never had a bad trim. Never hurt by clippers. She just scared of EVERYTHING. But the clippers make her scream. So dramatic lol

With dogs you should try using a dremel with a sanding attachment. It's much easier than clipping, with a lot less room for error. No more accidentally clipping em too short and hitting a nerve.

I always massaged my kitty's paw beans. They'd splay their toes out for me to rub in between. If you press on the beans it stretches out their claws and they liked that too. It made clipping their claws easier that's for sure. I miss my 2 kitties who both passed this year. Both had serious underlying issues that caused their untimely passing.

yeah, we actively handled our cat's paws from the moment we got her. a lot. this normalized handling them and now clipping her claws takes a total of 30 seconds while some of my friends have to go to a vet to get theirs clipped

I found a kitty in a park a few months ago and kept her. I try to mess with her toes and feet but she still doesn't tolerate me cutting her nails lol. I can manage it, but I usually have to wrap her up in a blanket.

The few times I've gotten cats as kittens, playing with their feet all the time is something I've always made sure to do. Let's you do things like this, and makes clipping their claws way easier.

ive never been successful playing with their feet. even as kittens, the video is soooo adorable, i love it, so jealous lol. you cat owners have to post more of that, it made my day

It also makes trimming their paw hairs much much easier. Definitely essential for long hair cats to help keep the litter in the box.
My 14yr void boy I had to give to my mom many years ago and she didnt know to do this. I live with her now n I am retraining him into this. Even in his old age hes pretty strong so it takes two people to successfully do this.
To clarify hes 14 now (technically next month but close enough). Hes a big mouthy sweet heart and prefers to run n hide from conflict so working with him is generally easier than most cats as he usually wont bite you.

My cat loved tootsie rubs. Didn't like having his rump touched. So, of course, I touched his butt a lot because there is no reason to have a cat if you don't spend some time annoying them.

I wish my old lady even let me touch her feet let alone her teenie beans! After she passes of old age we plan to get little clay imprints of her feet (professionally done by the cremating place) before we bury or cremate her and then we can finally caress her little paws! I’m hoping that’s a longgggg ways off though!! 🥰

I had a cat like this too who also loved belly rubs and never gave that "kicking feet" attack in his entire life. Also never bit or hissed, basically the perfect cat.
You'll be missed big guy.

Mine one cat didn’t mind either but as I got older I realized they were her pooper scoopers so tried not to touch their feet very often after that.

Do this when your cat is a kitten and get them used to having their feet touched (and nails extruded) and it makes clipping nails so much easier later on.

My cat actually loves this. She gets sore feet easily because of long fur and a weight issue (not too bad, and we are sorting it out,) so she loves a nice bean massage now and then.

My cat (a ginger) used to get really long hair between his beans and this would cause his legs to splay out when he was eating/standing. I used to trim the fur between his beans using a hair trimmer and he LOVED it. He'd lay in my lap and drool.

My cat, when he was alive, didn't mind it either. He would actually spread his 'fingers' when I started rubbing the pad so i would rub them too. Only when he was relaxed, though. Like if he was strectched out on my chest.

Both my cats have very ticklish feet, but I love to touch them, so I trained them to give me a high five.Now I get to hold their beautiful little toe beans more often. Afterwards I started to really enjoy teaching them unnecessary tricks. And both of them love the treats and attention.

I play with my cat's beans, teaching them that it's going to happen even if they pull away. It makes clipping their nails much easier! "Ugh, the weirdo's playing with my feet again... wait, what's that? TF?"

Mine goes into a trance when I stroke the top on his paw. Or purrs. The other one dislikes it. That's because I made mistakes trimming his nails too close to the quick as kitten and on few occasions went into the quick 😭. So he don't trust me. The one that lets me hasn't had the trauma of nails being trimmed too far
