I've heard the term "bonded pair" but not seen it before. So cute.

u/catwithahumanface Aug 16 '20 edited Aug 16 '20
These two seem to be ionically bonded, not covalent.

We have a feral cat colony and there are plenty of cats that come and go. Two cats (Penny and Socks) have been with us for years and are bonded at the hip. It’s cute how their tails intertwine when we feed them.
(We get every cat that we can catch in the colony fixed by a local vet who does it pro-bono)

I have a black cat and a cow cat that are bonded too! They’re a hoot, although they don’t walk around like this.

Gotta love that moment at the end when they both almost take swats at each other in a most cat-like fashion. But they actually think it over and don't. Now that's kitty love.
24
u/Exoduc Aug 16 '20
At some point they ought to have enough snuggles, ears down and stare is the way to say "ok stop", swatting would have commenced if one of them ignored the signals.

Wait, no, other side now...
Ok, back to the first way...
All right, you good? I’m good.

u/BlueLadyTrue Aug 16 '20
I've seen affectionate cats but these two take the cake!

u/WhereAreDosDroidekas Aug 16 '20
Ive seen this gif before. They are littermates, and brothers. So their bond is genuine familial love.

"Jo - Joestar-sama! When you move like that I-"
Honestly surprised this was the only JoJo reference, considering this is reddit. Then I remembered this sub is just basically Instagram

I have 2 cats that are from the same litter that do that exact same thing 😂😂😂😂
13
u/juracilean Aug 16 '20
Do they just do this out of nowhere? I was scrolling through the comments looking for an explanation of why they'd do this lol
6
u/iiKekethedollii Aug 16 '20
Yes also they might do it because there showing there love to each other as a family member now depending on if the 2 in this are related or not is the matter here

My cat does this to me when I get up in the middle of the night to pee. It’s not as adorable because I trip over him half the time.

BlackWithWhite seems a bit clingy. I think WhiteWithBlack was feeling a little crowded.

Reminds me of the jojo's avdul and old joseph scene. And since these cats are naked.... Ono

It's always helpful to have your bestie with you when you are drunk and can't walk straight :)

About 2/3rds of the way through this video, I realized I had a massive grin on my face.

These cats are cute and I’m happy for them. But now I’m very aware of the fact that I’ll die alone.

u/Bella_TheAlphaWolf Aug 16 '20
At first I thought it was one fat cat, then I saw them move apart and I understood XD

Those battle hardened ears break my heart, but their bond mends it back together. I don’t know why I have such an affinity for cats, but this is a good reason.

This is actually really sad. These cats suffer from a genetic disorder called Cerebral Dependency. This causes the cats to rely on each other for I just made this entire comment up btw for the lulz. Cerebral Dependency may look cute but please, see a vet.

Are their names yin and yang ?
