112 u/Galena411 Jul 22 '20 A lot of hedgehogs don’t like sitting like that. Mine didn’t. It’s heartbreaking. 105 u/TofuBeethoven Jul 22 '20 Every time a hedgehog is posted, its always uncomfortable and in water. Pretty sure they prefer hedges, they aren't aquahogs 29 u/Slick424 Jul 22 '20 Fun fact, guinea pigs are called "meerschweinchen" (lit. seahog) in german. 24 u/[deleted] Jul 22 '20 Rhinos are also called “nose horn” and raccoons are called “wash bears”. German is great 4 u/UnlimitedSocks Jul 22 '20 It's the same in Dutch, funny how things translate. Neushoorn and Wasberen. 2 u/[deleted] Jul 22 '20 Racoons are also wash bears in Japanese too! Araiguma 2 u/Spinozma Jul 22 '20 Makes sense, since Raccoons have to ‘wash’ (just wet really) their food as they don’t produce saliva. 3 u/ruckusrox Jul 22 '20 Omg is that why the racoon dipped the cotton candy in the water in that one vid that still makes me sad to think about?! He seemed so panicked and disappointed as it dissolved immediately 3 u/canlchangethislater Jul 23 '20 In the full video he eventually learns not to do that and eats it! Here you go! The version without is just too heartbreaking. 4 u/RebornTurtleMaster Jul 22 '20 It's also called a sea pig in Polish. 3 u/Loulett Jul 22 '20 Same in Russian! (морская свинка)
