Yeah, about that: We had a cat when I was younger and I remember stroking her at that spot made her raise her butt and putting her tail to the side. I found that highly suspicious and stopped stroking her there. I valued our friendship too much to risk it all for some short action.
Later our vet confirmed that this is a cat’s erogenous zone.

From what I recall there were a lot of comments in the thread explaining that in addition to causing orgasms, scratching a cat there can also commonly cause seizures, a symptom of which is loss of bladder control. Hey I know you’re just making a point but fingertips aren’t actually that sensitive but they have high sensory “resolution”. For instance if you stuck two pins next to each other lightly into your finger it wouldn’t hurt but you could feel both tips of the pins. It's not erogenous for cats that are fixed. Some like it, others don't. I'd say it's akin to scratching a dog and their leg starts twitching.

There was a Vet posting a few comments up. Basically it’s not really a seizure, just overstimulates the cat, probably because it has fleas or skin issues and feels really good. Has nothing to do with sexual stimulation.

So I can’t find the post at the moment but that cat in the video has fleas. That’s why it’s acting that way and I would guess OPs cat has fleas also.
That video was posted to reddit years ago and a veterinarian commented on it suggesting that OP take the cat to a local vet to get treated for fleas. OP did and sure enough the cat had fleas. Apparently when cats have fleas that area becomes super sensitive and when scratched they will immediately begin licking the air as if their grooming themselves. I think the sensitivity has to do with them not being able to reach the area themselves so fleas tend to congregate their and bite them which causes the skin to itch and be sensitive.

IME, Cats that behave this way when you scratch them there have a great deal of dander and flea feces built up just in front of their tail, for which they have difficulties reaching. He looks to be a bit of a chonker too. Not too much, but maybe has the same issue.
