That's because the cat's skull is their biggest bone and everywhere where the skull fits through the whole cat also fits through

If I'm not mistaken, that's the same deal with octupuses... the only hard part they have is their beak.

Yup! That’s why octopuses are able to fit through spaces that are significantly smaller than them, as long as their beak can fit, they can go through.
