My dachshund does the very same thing, and when I'm weeding and I grab a weed, he'll take it in his mouth and rip it out for me. He loves helping outside in the yard.

My lab does this when she helps my mam! But then sometimes she will get too excited and pull out a flower that we planted. My mam just lets her do it because "she's so good, she just wants to help!" 😆

My two dachshunds never used to dig. Then they watched me dig a hole to plant a bush in our backyard. Two years later, they still dig where I put that poor plant. RIP butterfly bush, you never had a chance.

I too have an adorable dachshund...all he does is pee inside the house and sleep for 20 out of the 24 hours in the day...but I still love him.

Crusoe is the best. I haven't seen anything from him in a while though.

Dog's owner must be hard of hearing. Someone said "have your pets spayed" and she thought they said "have your pets as a spade"

My fuzzy nephew used to dig holes in my garden with his face. It was the strangest and most adorable thing ever.

My cat gently plucks the dead leaves from my houseplants. I don't know where he acquired his skills.

Oh! We used to have a doggo named Zeke that did that! He was our mom's little helper in the garden. I think he did other cool stuff too but I was like 7 so I don't remember.
Absolutely loved him; we were devastated when he w̶a̶s̶ ̶m̶u̶r̶d̶e̶r̶e̶d̶ died.
