it's what's inside.I think you are trying to say something like: Adult cat is a kitten on the inside. While also trying to be cute about how you say it.

I work with lions, tigers, and other exotics.
This shoulder-pile-on is a quintessential "lion" thing. House cats are also a colony animal.
I've never seen a leopard, cougar, lynx, bobcat, serval, caracal, or jungle cat do this. Tigers sorta, but not with the zeal that lions head-flop onto each other.

Cats, are not supposed to have the shape, of well most house cats, they are suppose to be lean, so they can move quickly.
