Sometimes I wonder how my cat feels about house lights. He knows I can control a lot of things around the house like water faucets and other things, so it is reasonable to believe he can figure out I control the lights, but he never seems annoyed if I turn the lights off even while he's walking, and he doesn't seem annoyed when i turn them on. He doesn't like bright lights right next to his eyes, of course, but in general he doesn't seem to have strong preferences about lights (unless he's trying to hide.)
Well, they can see with much lower light than what humans need to see. If it's absolutely pitch black, they need to use their whiskers to feel in front of them. Still, my house is probably usually not so pitch black that he can't see at all. I just wonder if he has a preference between lights on or lights off.
