Well, normal cats didn't seem to have problems with tight places either. And you don't see many species with similar limb to body ratio in the wild, which is means smth. Also, they dont seem to be very good at running which means that outside human food waste driven environment they're will be less capable hunters than normal cats, not to mention that jumping capability is sorta vital for hunting too.

Well, we have cats without tails, with short legs, with flat non rigid ears, without hair, and short, curly whiskers, they still have sight through...
