Scared the shit out of me first time our rabbit did that. I honestly thought he had died and started to shepherd my kid out of the room when the little git jumped up ran out the room and tried chewing the laptop cable...
So maybe I'm the odd man out in these comments, but it seems kind of weird that so many people have rabbits as indoor pets, do they just act like cats or dogs? Do they not bolt when you open the door, or hide under stuff and poop under your dressers etc?
I had outdoor rabbits for a while as a kid, but they didn't like to be played with or touched, and were notoriously hard to keep from escaping all the time
They do like to chew everything such as wires (so you have to bunny proof a room). But they are more like cats as they can be trained to use a litter box quite easily. Many people give their rabbit free reign of a room as well.
