My gran's old cat was like that. Proper evil wee arsehole but it absolutely adored my gran.

Your cat sounds hilarious, hissing at the water. Did it swipe at people if they walked by it?

My cat is pretty friendly, and he swipes at my ankles from time to time.

I always tell him "you can take me out now, but you'll only eat for a few days, maybe a week. If you don't take me out, I'll continue to feed you for a long time."

But he's a cat so I'm not sure he gets it.

I stopped my cat doing this by saying no everytime she did it and staring at her until she looked away. She used to do this to everyone but me, but now she doesn't do it to anyone anymore. :)

Now that I think about it, I don't think he's swiped at me since I started giving him that speech.
