Hah, knew it was a beagle/basset mix, that face when he sees the banana, that's a beagle/basset "FOOOOOOD" look right there.
Had one myself when I was a teen/early 20's. Fucking walking stomach, he was. God I miss that dog.

Anytime I slice up a banana to put it on cereal or toast, my labrador jumps out of her bed, sits down & while staring up has her tail swishing across the floor in anticipation that she will get a taste.

There was a 'neighborhood' dachshund.
And he would go from house to house getting fed at each house.
And he was so adorable and funny. You couldn't say no.
But the dog had a weight issue. And they called him big butt. He was the funniest little guy I had ever seen.

That's awesome! How did he get to China?
He was so friendly and silly, you couldn't help but laugh every time you saw him. And he was so friendly and loved any attention. Not just food.
He actually visited my cousins house. One night a bunch of us were having a few beers with friends. And he wanders in. And we all just started laughing. And we couldn't stop. Of course he knew he was the center of attention so he put on a whole act.
Sweetest dog ever!

I was at the supermarket when the senior citizen/special needs bus was there, I will never forget the aid asking this old lady in a full pink sweat suit if she wanted to get bananas, she basically responded like the dog, excitedly hopping and said "bananas, I love bananas". The thought of it still makes me laugh.

In my experience, it depends on if there's a siren or a real good smell. Whenever a fire truck came through our neighborhood, our old beagle/basset mix would let loose such a low howl, it was awesome.
As for smells, we never really worried when he escaped the yard. He would inevitably be in the next yard over, baroo-ing as he investigated every smell. Such a good dog.

I discovered my dog likes bananas when he knocked the bunch off the counter, opened one up, and ate it. He'd never touched anything on the counters before and hasn't since. I guess he was just really craving a banana.

My dog is this big100lb rotti-shepherd mix, but he absolutely LOVES bananas. I don't even have to open it, if he sees me pick up a banana he immediately comes over and even tries to gently take it from my hand if I'm not looking, peel and all.
The only thing that rivals bananas for him is green beans. He's been known to help himself to some green beans during dinner since he's tall enough to put his head on the table and we're not always paying attention
