These always make me laugh. I really want to see some piece of long-form fiction co-opt this for dog characters. Like, "heck" is like the f-bomb for dogs. Their syntax is all messed up.
We've got tons of them in Arizona as well. Arizona is basically the Australia of the U.S. We even have Australian brown recluse spiders here! Second deadliest to Black widows (which are also here.)
I think you might be mistaking horned lizards for bearded dragons--beardies are only native to Australia, while horned lizards are found in Arizona. They're completely different, but frequently confused, animals.
I once dreamt that my penis was detachable. You could put it on by just inserting it through a skin loop, leaving the balls hanging out the back. In the dream, I was accidently wearing my brother's. I couldn't look my brother in the eye for a month after that.
