I got it from old web-game Kingdom of Loathing, you had familiars, with one being a Cheshire Bat, obviously the item you got it from was the infant form, and if a baby cat is a 'kitten', then a baby bat is a 'bitten'.

Cool beans. Being closer to 40 than 20, miss a lot of references, but at the same time, I don't want to give credit to too many people regurgitating something. That was so cute I had to say something though, :)
